Hello guys,This is lunatic cook.

Today i will discuss about methods of cooking or different types of cooking technique process.so guys,there are many types of cooking methods in the whole world,we can cook in many different ways like using dry heat,moist heat etc.today I will explain everything to all of you about methods of cooking.

So first we need to know what is cooking,if we say in a simple way it is a process of preparing food by applying heat.

Then the question is - what is method of cooking?

In a simple way all the methods that are used for cooking.


Today we will know about those methods – 

Baking

Methods of cooking, baking method

Baking is a type of cooking method,and in this method food is preparing using by dry heat.this type of cooking done by oven,hot ashes,and the interesting fact is it is a most oldest cooking method.bread, muffins, pastry, cookies,is made using by this cooking method.And the temperature of baking is 150 -300°c.


Roasting : 

Methods of cooking, roasting method

Roasting is a type of cooking method.this type of cooking is complete using by dry heat. And this type of cooking is done inside a oven or over a fire,and the food is cooked from every side. Roasting process gives a Smokey flavour to the food that’swhy everyone like this method.The temperature of roasting -150°c,Some roasted food is – roasted vegetables, roasted chicken leg piece.


Stewing-

stewing is types of cooking method and it is a Chinese tradition.in this cooking method food(ingredients) are submerged into the liquid. And in this cooking method food and liquid both are served.Some stewing dish -lamb Rogan Josh,pork and green chilly stew,Beef stew,lrish stew etc.


Grilling -

Methods of cooking, grilling method

grilling is also a kind of cooking method ,this type of cooking process is complete using by dry heat.in this process food is placed over a direct heat source like charcoal fire,hot ashes,gas flame, grilling process gives a Smokey flavour to the food,and this is Reason why everyone like grilling food.Grilling temperature is – (300 – 350 °F) – (400 – 450°F),Some grilled dishes – grilled chicken sald, grilled fish, grilled artichoke etc.


Barbecuing -

Barbecuing is a cooking process that everyone like . In this process food is cooked over a direct heat . Barbecuing and grilling both cooking process are almost same but grilling process cook food fast and barbecue process Cook food slow, this is the difference between grilling and barbecuing. Barbecuing is also give a smokey flavour to the food.


Deep frying -

Deep frying, methods of cooking

deepfrying means deep in fat (oil)  frying. Deep frying Is a type of cooking method  in this cooking method food is submerged into the hot fat (oil), and frying until the food turns into brown colour. Deep frying food is not good for our health because deep frying food contain a lot of oil. Some deep frying food is fried chicken, french fries, spring roll,etc.


Pan frying -

panfrying is types of cooking method where food is frying in a pan use of a amount of oil. And the temperature of this cooking process is 325 – 400°F.Some pan fried dish is – pan fried potatoes, crispy pan fried fish,pan fried asparagus.


Sauteing - 

Sauteing method, methods of cooking

sauteing is a type of cooking method which is done using by a small amount of oil in a pan. And cook until its turn brown colour. Sauteing is such a cooking method that we all know about this. Because almost all of the food we cook at home is done by sauteing process.


Shallow trying -

shallow frying and pan frying cooking method both are almost similar both are oil based cooking. And Shallow frying is a cooking method where food is preparing using by a small amounts of oil,untill it become brown, and it’s a high heat process.Some shallow fried dish is – crispy shallow fried chicken, shallow frying egg bread.l, shallow fried fish.

Stir frying - 

stir frying is a Chinese cooking technique. In this process food is cooked using by a small amount of oil in wok. And food is rapidly fry over a high heat source. Stir fried foods are healthy because this types of food doesn’t contain a lot of oil, that’s why stir frying food is good for our health.Some stir frying dish – chicken stir frying, vegetables stir fried etc.


Boiling - 

Boiling method, methods of cooking
boiling is types of cooking method that doesn’t require fat or oil. Boiling is a cooking method where food is cooked in hot water or water based liquid like stock,milk . And the temperature of water should be 100°C. Boiling cooking method is very important , when we buy vegetables from market we should always eat it after boiling because all the germs and bacteria die after boiling process .Some boiling food is – pasta ,rice,egg boiled, sambar, sweet corn sou,.etc.


Steaming

Steaming method, method of cooking

steaming is moist heat cooking method. steaming is a types of cooking method where food is prepared using by steam.in this cooking method the food is kept on hot water so that it prepare in the steam or vapour. Basically stemin food is prepared into the steamer, steamer is a kitchen utensil.Some steaming food – momo, Steamed rice, Steamed fish,rava dhoola etc.


Braising - 

braising is a type of cooking method where food is prepared using by two types of heat- dry heat,wet heat. In this method first food is seared in high temperature until its turns brown colour and become crusty. And then cooked slowly in a small amount of liquid. Some braising food is – braised beef, vegetables braised,red wine braised beef , etc.


Poaching -

poaching is a type of cooking method where food is prepared using by moist heat.in this method food is submerged in the liquid (water,milk,wine) . Poaching is a gently cooking method , basically fish,egg are poched


Simmering - 

simmering is a type of cooking method where food are cooked in hot liquid . simmering and boiling both are almost same but their cooking temperature are different. Like when food is boiling this time water temperature should be 100°C but when food is simmering this time Water temperature should be below of 100° C( 80°c – 95°C )


Blanching -

blanching is a type of cooking techniques where first the food (Basically vegetables and Fruits) is boiled in a hot water for some time and then the food is taken out from hot water and kept in iced water .this cooking process  increase the brightness of food and killed bacteria and many times this cooking process used for peeling vegetables.


Flambing - 

Flambing method, methods of cooking

flambing Is also a cooking technique . In this cooking technique a little amount of alcohol is given on th top of food and then it burns when it comes in contact with fire. Flambing gives a Smokey flavour to the food that’s why everyone like the flambing cooking method. And  this cooking process is dangerous so be careful when you do it.


Toasting - 

Toasting method, methods of cooking

toasting is also a cooking technique . Usally most toasting item is bread in this cooking process the heat is provide in to the Bread until its turned brown colour.Some toasted food is. – french toast, bread toast,egg bread toast, etc.


Solar cooking  -

solar cooking method is a advanced cooking method .in this cooking technique  first energy is collected from the sun using a solar device and then that energy is turned down into heat and after this using by the heat food is prepared.



So friends this is the methods of different types of cooking. In this post I explained all my knowledges about method of cooking ,if there is any mistake please forgive and suggest me.
